During lockdown in April I took stock of the last mural done on Stansted Road and saw it was flaking and faded after over 13 years since it was done.

So I consulted with Monkwick Residents association members as to what they wanted on any new mural.

The Covid and NHS rainbow, the 75 ve day anniversary, and local wildlife were all featured as desired.

Then I applied for County Council funding, which was accepted.

I then researched artists who could apply the ideas residents had come up with, finding Kerry of call the artist and she agreed to accept the commission

After a quick meeting on site with Monkwick residents association members the deal was done.

Really pleased with the result, in fact so much so I am planning more work to brighten up our area.
